Meet the Team

We are on a mission to help organizations leverage the world’s largest social network
with tools for list building, fundraising, advocacy and content discovery.

Drew Bernard

Drew’s a rabid advocate for making the world healthier, more just and joyful. He spends his days supporting ActionSprout’s team and partners to ensure they have the tools and knowledge needed to succeed on Facebook and beyond. Drew’s been helping organizations build productive relationships with supporters online since the early 2000’s. When not at the office, he’s usually mentoring entrepreneurs or laughing and exploring with his wife, kids and labradoodle, Charlie.

Shawn Kemp

Shawn believes in the people’s power to create lasting change and works hard to help connect organizations with their supporters. Hopped-up on caffeine and typically under-slept, you’ll find Shawn involved in nearly everything from answering support questions at midnight to innovating ways to make Facebook work better. When not supporting ActionSprout, you can find Shawn hanging out with family exploring the wilderness or coaching aspiring local entrepreneurs.

Tim White

Tim’s been with ActionSprout since its inception, literally Day one, and has helped build it into what it is today. He mainly programs in Ruby and Javascript, but is keenly dabbling in other new, emergent, and disruptive technologies as they make their appearance on the modern stage. In his spare time when he isn’t neck-deep in code, he explores his odd-couple interests in rock climbing and cryptocurrencies…often simultaneously!

Nathan Carnes

Nathan keeps the ActionSprout servers healthy, the endless lines of code comfy, and the developers wrangled (mostly). A survivor of grueling agency life, Nathan now uses a richly-mixed background in cutting edge design and development to help craft ActionSprout’s form and function. He hasn’t actually used his super-cool archaeology degree yet, but has found that it makes a nice conversation piece at cocktail parties.

Amiel Martin

Amiel’s developed for browsers since the 90’s when he started writing DHTML. Since then he’s transformed himself into a professional Perl, PHP, Ruby, and Javascript web developer. Amiel’s architected and maintained a large variety of projects including iPhone applications, web-based internal business tools, full-custom CMS solutions, and critical public-facing business tools for larger enterprise. Interesting tidbit: he used to perform with the Flying Karamazov Brothers!

Andrea Frost

Andrea is passionate about using technology to make the world a better place. With many years of non-profit experience, she is incredibly excited to build ActionSprout tools that make life easier for non-profits. When not officially at work Andrea volunteers with the Creators & Innovators Club for Girls, Whatcom Hospice, and WWU Association for Women in Computing. She loves getting out in the mountains with her dog from Alaska.

Briana Milligan

Briana works hard to make sure every customer is successful with ActionSprout. A true believer in the world-changing power of social media and emergent-tech, she directs her passion towards helping nonprofits tap into the stream of web culture. When she isn’t showing nonprofits how to reach their impact goals, she’s typically hiking, knitting, or hanging out with her cat Sniglet. Oh, and she once held a lion cub!

Josh Bennett

Josh is laser focused on making sure that ActionSprout users are getting the most out of their efforts.  He uses his social media powers to help nonprofits rock the mic. Taking his background in the arts and marketing, Josh creates materials to help users understand how to use Actionsprout and Facebook and why they are so powerful together. After a day of helping nonprofits, he trains for bicycle racing or hits the books to become an even more powerful super nerd.
